Counting Stock in Two Units of Measure

Sometimes it makes sense to count stock in a different unit of measure to the stocking unit that the inventory is stored in. Let’s say you have bags of raw material that contain 20 kg each. Your stocking, picking and manufacturing processes operate in kg. But, for the warehouse team doing the stocktake, it’s easier to count in bags and only count in kg for opened, partly used bags.

Abel has a special stocktaking screen that supports two units of measure for these cases. This simplifies the stock count for the warehouse team, improves efficiency and reduces errors.
